Accomodation
Accommodation Recommendations
The FAME Doctoral School will take place at the Ada Byron Building, located at the University of Málaga (UMA) – Teatinos Campus Extension. The venue is directly connected to the city through Metro Line 1 (Universidad direction), making it easy to stay outside the campus area while enjoying Málaga.
For participants visiting Málaga, we recommend staying either:
- in the historic city centre, to enjoy the cultural and social life of the city, or
- near María Zambrano (Vialia) train station, which offers excellent public transport connections (metro, airport train, and high-speed rail).
From both areas, the trip to the venue typically takes 20–30 minutes by metro.
Please note that the prices below are indicative estimates for the school dates (September 30 – October 2, 2026) and may vary depending on booking date and availability. Note that MODELS’26 takes place concurrently in the same city, so demand for accommodation is expected to be high — we strongly recommend booking well in advance.

Apartments and Short-Term Rentals
Participants may also find apartments and studio flats at competitive prices through platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com. These can be a cost-effective option, especially for participants staying for the full MODELS’26 conference week, and may offer kitchen facilities and more space than a standard hotel room. We recommend searching within the historic centre or near the María Zambrano station for the best transport connections to the venue.
Participants are encouraged to book early, as accommodation in Málaga fills up quickly during the MODELS conference week.
